Clinique Brunch Party

Clinique invited a few bloggers to a brunch party a couple of weeks ago.

I decided on an outfit, and last minute decided it didn't work. So I had to take out another dress, iron it quickly, while rushing to do my laundry before I left the house, while doing my makeup so I look presentable at a skincare event.

Yup. I was late.

Hence the horrible media shot. Sigh...

The bloggers who went

They were eating away before I ran in with my sweaty and sibehpaiseh face.

Everything was white and bee-yoo-tee-fool. Inc the Cliniquers! ^^

Yen, the PR Manager of Clinique, gave us a short presentation of the history of Clinique.

Yen, pretty in white =)

Clinique Trivia:

Clinique is 41 years old.

Clinique started with a 1967 Vogue article entitled "Great Skin Can Be Created" by dermatologist Dr Norman Orentreich and co-Clinique founder Carol Phillips.

This bold statement was said during a time when people didn't believe that skin could be treated of its problems.

Estee Lauder, good friend of Carol Phillips, decided to work together with the two to create a great skincare line for the Estee Lauder group.

The Clinique Clarifying Lotion is the difference maker in the 3 step skincare.

In 1976, Clinique was the first prestige brand to provide a Men's Skincare range.

All Clinique products are tested on 600 ppl x 12 testings. At any time if any of them show an allergic reaction, the product will NOT be launched.

The 3 step skincare was pioneered by Dr Norman Orentreich.

Dr Norman
Orentreich was the first dermatologist to warn ppl of the effects of sun tanning.

Interesting, no? =)

After which, we all sat around and chitchatted with the white people (Clinique ppl lar), and got to know each other better. ^^
