wherefore art thou romeo

Alexis was nothing if not a romantic.

Since she could remember she had dreamt of candlelit dinners and hot air balloon rides accompanied by gentle kisses and tender touches.

She never really dreamt of marriage and the silly wedding rituals.
It was all about the courtship. The romanticism of it all.

As she grew older surrounded by influences that never adhered to her romantic beliefs, she thought it impossible to find her Prince Charming and slowly grew to lock her hopes away.

Practicality, it seemed, was more nodded upon in the modern society.

Until the day she met Len.

Len was suave. Charming. And best of all.
Romantic.

She couldn't be any happier.

He courted her as a gentleman would, never imposing anything onto her, always making sure to care for her wishes.

He courted. She accepted.

He proposed. She jumped for joy.

A year later they were married and lived happily ever after with two kids, a boy and a girl, living in a classy mansion in Lyon, France, she driving a Pink Lambourghini while working as a freelance fashion stylist for the stars.

And then Alexis found out she was just a character in a fairy tale story.

And even she knew fairy tales don't exist in real life.
