The MUA was asked today...
Q: Does liquid foundation clog pores?
A: In a way it does as liquid foundation doesn't claim to be non-comedogenic. But really, most of the products we use do not claim to be non-comedogenic anyway. This includes your moisturisers, cleansers etc.
Good foundations cling to skin but wash off with the right makeup remover, and offers great coverage.
If you have really sensitive skin, try mineral makeup which is generally non-comedogenic.
Q: Should I use powder or liquid foundation then?
A: It depends on the coverage you want. I love the effect of liquid foundation. It provides a truly 'flawless' yet 'natural' look.
However, if you just started on makeup, can't be bothered, and have relatively good skin, a 2-way cake (powder with foundation) will do. Powder by itself, however, is not a foundation and doesn't provide lasting coverage. Make sure you get the right one by asking the counter MUA!
